What Effect Has Google Panda Had on Link Building

If you are looking into how to boost your site’s performance using link building then chances are you know all about SEO.  One of the latest updates to take place in the search engine giant’s algorithms was Google Panda. This was the anti-spam and content farm update designed to syphon out the poor quality sites and improve the user’s experience.

The update not only has meant that your site’s content may need to be amended. It means that all the work put into your link building may also need to be revised.  The quality of the pages that your links are placed on is important. Link building needs to be on good sites which provide value to user’s and not placed all over the Internet without consideration.

So what does this mean for you? If you have worked in link building in the past you need to check that they are still considered to provide value to SEO.  Visit your old links and check that it is on a suitable site.  Google will not want to see links for family friendly sites on adult rated blogs for example.  Check over the site that your link is on, check it is appropriate and make sure your content is all original and is worth readers taking time to read over it all.

Make Sure All Future Link Building Will Satisfy Google Panda

Once you have evaluated and removed some of your past link building work you know it is important to make sure all of your new link building would satisfy the demands of Google’s latest algorithms and updates.   If you are taking part in link building for the first time the same rules apply.  If you are creating articles, blog posts and press releases must have content which is unique and not copied from anywhere else on the Internet.  Write to please the reader, avoid over using keywords without justification.
